Hey everyone! As a future English teacher, I was just wondering how to keep students focused & engaged during a class discussion. I know for students who aren't passionate about literature, it can be difficult to keep them on task. How would you go about this? Any & all tips are welcome! Thank you in advance!

Hey! I am a future English teacher as well, so I have thought a lot about this question. I think that I am going to focus a lot about choosing literature that the students can relate to or about topics that they are interested in. In addition, I think the use of creative discussions, whether that's going outside for a class or bringing in props to provide visuals can just provide some fun and excitement to keep the students engaged.
